Redbox has a hybrid workforce and many of our jobs are available to be remote with the ability to use our corporate office spaces which are located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, Bellevue, WA and soon to open in Los Angeles.

Redbox is seeking a seasoned Analytics executive with expertise in CRM/Loyalty Analytics, Product Analytics, User Experience research and Consumer Insights. The ideal candidate is highly customer-centric with the ability to blend the art and science of quantitative analytics and qualitative research to inform product strategy, drive customer loyalty, and increase enterprise value.

This role will lead a team of Data Scientists, User Experience researchers and Consumer Insights professionals that partner with key business leads across functions to optimize customer acquisition strategies and tactics, providing product and marketing insights that drive engagement and retention strategies resulting in profitable, long-term customer relationships. 

The leader will drive the development and utilization of customer, marketing, merchandising and product analytics to enable personalized experiences for consumers and consistent improvements in our entertainment products. Additionally, this role leads Consumer Insights and UX Research and is responsible for understanding how consumer usage of entertainment products is evolving to better inform overall company and customer-level strategy.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee an Analytics team, driving the delivery of insights (using very large datasets) to influence CLM strategies and leverage qualitative research studies, focus groups, and interviews to understand the “why” behind consumer behavior. Leverage this data to establish key consumer target segments, understanding their decision drivers for entertainment occasions. With business leaders, identify target customers for acquisition, engagement and retention with the overall goal of driving increases in customer lifetime value  
  • Develop Product/Storefront analytics capabilities that deliver actionable insights to the Product organization to inform Redbox’s Product Development roadmap
  • Partner with Technology to ensure that storefronts are instrumented to collect usage data that drives a robust understanding of what aspects of our entertainment products are working well for consumers and which negatively impact customer experience:
    • For UX Research, further develop the understanding of ways to improve the customer experience through customer studies  
    • For the Product organization, design test & learn experiments that measure potential improvements in customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Provide Merchandising & Content Acquisition organizations with insights focused on how content influences customer behavior,  optimizing the content that is procured for our entertainment products and  how it is merchandised on our storefronts
  • Drive ROI on marketing mix & promotional spend and loyalty programs targeted to most valuable customers, customers of our retail client, and marketing programs that run on OEM platforms
  • Participate in strategic discussions with senior executives and work cross-functionally with teams to maximize Redbox’s ability to drive profitable results through marketing, product and merchandising initiatives  
  • As a key decision maker, collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that the needs and expectations of business partners, external customers, and third-party organizations are met or exceeded
  • Continuously develop and coach the Analytics team to provide strategic, consumer and behavior-based insights across Redbox that result in significant financial impact
  • Build a robust database marketing and campaign capabilities that continuously monitor and analyze relevant data across the marketing and sales process to evaluate program effectiveness and ROI
  • Manage the set-up and execution of direct marketing campaigns
  • Develop annual operating budget aligned with the Redbox business and Marketing plans
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS in a quantitative discipline required (Statistics, Business, CIS, Mathematics, Social Science or related field); Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing science/analytics role required, to include 5+ years of mid to senior level management experience
  • 5+ years consumer database analysis and direct marketing experience
  • 5+ years leading teams that develop statistical models in Python, Big Data and cloud technologies as well as strong ability to partner with Technology and Product organizations
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods such as logistic regression and cluster analysis and a pattern of success in using advanced quantitative analytic methods to solve business problems

  • Excellent leadership, people development, project management and communication skills.  Self-directed/motivated with the willingness & ability to roll up their sleeves and get to work done in either a strategic or executional capacity
  • Has a “Test-Learn-Apply” mindset
  • Knowledge, experience, and persuasion skills to articulate the results of complex analyses and their implications to key stakeholders and Senior Management
  • Proven experience in developing targeted programs that drive consumer demand, brand preference, incremental sales and profit
  • Knowledge of and experience with syndicated data sources to enhance consumer data
  • Experience with primary market research as well as UX research and their use in consumer targeting and product development
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and deploying decision support models and tools leveraging consumer data and insights. Strong statistical modeling experience including segmentation, cluster analysis, decision trees and predictive modeling required
