We are looking to fill an internship position within our IT Department here at Maxim Crane Works, L.P.. This will be a paid internship and will be a temporary position for the summer. This position entails excellent customer service skills and a problem-solving mannerism. On-the-job training will be performed. Please review details of the position listed below.


• High School diploma.
• College internship opportunity.
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control.
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
• Proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.

Core Competencies

• Helpdesk on premise and remote support.

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
• Determine the best solution based on the issues and details provided by customers.
• Problem-solving over the phone or ticketing system.
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
• Record events and problems via the IT Trouble ticketing system. All calls must have a ticket associated with it.
• Follow-up and update user status and information.
• Pass on any feedback or suggestions by users to the appropriate internal team
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

• Equipment requests (laptop, desktop, monitor, etc.). Configure new, repairs, replacement computers upon request. Equipment requests forms must be submitted for any new equipment.
• Security overview (endpoint, servers, physical, etc.)
• Avaya phone administration.
• Change management forms for any new, termination, or change of access forms must be submitted.
• Asset management for all IT equipment, which includes, creating, transferring, and retiring IT Assets. (Monitors, printers, CPU's, Network Equipment, etc.).
• Office 365 and Active Directory management a plus (Apps include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Cisco Networking (Switches, routers, firewall).
• Virus Removal and prevention.
• Cabling/Termination of data jacks and network equipment.
• Assist with active projects.
• Documentation/FAQ's.


Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST
