WHAT YOU WILL DO:

CoxReps’ hands-on, hybrid/flexible internship program is designed to provide early career candidates with the opportunity enhance their media and advertising knowledge through hands-on experience and engage with top media professionals in Sales, Research, and Technology. Our talented interns will work closely with these departments to learn how to support linear television and digital at a national, local and regional scale. Here is a sample of the responsibilities and day-to-day tasks you’ll have as a CoxReps intern:  

  • Learn to process and analyze TV ratings data using Nielsen and comScore.
  • Review and present rate recommendations based on historical, agency needs and station rate cards.
  • Maintain station program schedules in CoxReps’ proprietary TV advertising database software.
  • Manage broadcast orders for client stations, including order input, make goods, posts and invoices.
  • Work alongside teams in pulling spot times, maintaining current on-air contracts, and reporting any adjustments to the schedule.
  • Manage inventory, estimate TV ratings, and create relevant data visualizations and presentations for the sales team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Undergraduate junior, senior or recent college graduate.
  • Pursuing a degree in the business, communications, public relations, or advertising field of study is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a high-speed environment.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work on-site in New York City in a hybrid/flexible capacity.
