Job summary
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for executing on the sales strategy for Industrial and Commercial Transportation end user and distribution market. The position is accountable for executing on the profitable growth strategy with existing and new customers. The incumbent will report to the European Commercial Director.
Key tasks and activities
Under the guidance of the Commercial Director the Account Manager represents Arconic’s mill in Hungary and in the UK, within a customer portfolio predominantly based in Germany.
- Within the sales strategies defined, the Sales Account Manager grows the business, executes the sales plan and monitors the forecasts for his area of responsibility.
- He/She optimizes the customer and product mix to maximize profitability.
- He/She develops a pipeline of new Customers and Product/Market opportunities to ensure sustainable growth objectives are attained. He/She negotiates and closes deals and visits regularly the customers and prospects.
- The position is responsible for managing the execution of the contracts signed, supporting adherence to payment terms and claims resolution efforts, as well as utilizing cross functional resources (Sales, Customer Service, and Operation) to achieve customer satisfaction.
You have: (required)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Sales Account manager position in the metal Industry with minimum 1-year experience with aluminum.
- Fluent in German and Advanced Professional English proficiency are a must.
- Computer literate: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other windows applications
- Availability to travel up to 70% (mainly in Europe).
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
- College degree, preferable in economics /business management / accounting or similar.
- At least 3 years of working experience in sales in the aluminum industry.
Essential knowledge and skills:
- The candidate should display strong technical abilities and negotiation skills and be self directed.
- The incumbent works with structure and method in an international environment
- He/she should have strong responsiveness and hands-on mentality towards customer relationships.
- Ability to understand the broader organizational picture and processes.
- Financial, sales, and accounting acumen.
- Possess a strong desire to help, drive bottom line results, a strong desire for continuous learning, possess a natural curiosity to seek the ideal state, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
