We are looking for backend engineers with strong coding skills, and a reasonable understanding of machine learning and information retrieval. You will be coding in Java on the Unix platform to build search applications that handle a huge scale of data within milliseconds. Responsibilities

• Experience on development on Linux based systems, command line and scripting.

• Have experience in Java API development, good at Java Spring Boot development.

• Hands-on database environment, e.g., MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL …

• Good knowledge of web development and architecture, ex: HTTP, Networking, CSS, JS, HTML5, and Web industry standard.

• Knowledge of scripting language Python Shell script or any scripting language.

• Participated in the full life cycle of a large project: design, implementation, testing, releasing and sustaining.

• Good knowledge of software engineering life cycle including design, development, build/release, and QA (CI/CD)

• With AWS or GCP related experience is a plus

• Proficiency in Chinese is essential.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with a good understanding of the fundamentals such as Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Good coding skills and experience in OOP. Java preferred
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with people from a variety of technical backgrounds and geographical locations. Enjoys helping people, remains friendly and constructive under stress.
• A proven track record of technical strength, including responsibility for design or architecture

Preferable Qualification

• Good knowledge and hands on practice of Java, PHP, shell script and C++

• Strong understanding of product quality and performance standards

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development process or cloud computing

• Participate in trouble shooting various problems in the system

• Participate in design discussion and reviews

• Experience on working with very large scale distributed systems

• A personal commitment to continuous learning and self-development

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and desire to learn new skills

• Ability to take initiative and be innovative- Great sense of responsibility and attention to detail nice to Have
