Senior Specialist, Payroll and Time and Attendance
Arconic is currently in search of Senior Specialist, Payroll and Time and Attendance to join our Global Financial Services Team in Pittsburgh, PA.

Primary Responsibilities
- Consult location administrators on payroll, time and attendance, and taxation issues
- Perform configuration changes in the Infor Workforce Management (Workbrain) application, to include changes to pay rules, accruals, attendance control, and user security
- Partner with the Time and Attendance technical team on application upgrade projects, and assist with defining requirements for various application development initiatives
- Manage Time and Attendance requests through the ServiceNow ticketing system, and resolve those requests within the customer service level agreement timeline
- Work with third party vendors to manage unemployment insurance rates
- Heavily involved in year-end payroll processing and W-2 preparation
- Understand & stay informed of labor agreement changes that may impact payroll
- Payroll overpayment management
- Payroll reporting for multiple internal customers
- Review tax reporting prepared by third-party vendor to ensure data integrity
- Manage and partner the Payroll Check Escheat process with Corporate Tax team
- Perform and assist with Payroll account reconciliations
- Other duties as assigned by Payroll Operations Management
Key Objectives
- This position in the Financial Shared Services organization of Arconic is responsible for working directly with our payroll outsourcer to ensure accurate payroll processing for Arconic's US employee population administered by Strada.
- This position supports the Infor Workforce Management (Workbrain) application which supports schedule management, time collection and approval, payroll file generation, attendance management, reporting and analytics and other workforce management related activities.
- This position is also responsible for managing or participating in projects involving the Strada team as well as other Resource/Business Units within Arconic, and other outside vendors.
- Maintain standard documentation for projects, processes, and procedures.
- Participates in quarterly Arconic Self-Assessment Test (ASAT) testing.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer interaction and focus to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to solve issues.
- Operate within Arconic standards and conventions BU/RU standards.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business processes in area(s) of assignment.
- Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology and service delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum three (3) years of payroll related experience in a corporate environment
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with a payroll and/or time and attendance application in a corporate environment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
- Payroll Tax and Accounting knowledge
- Demonstrated experience with a Time and Attendance system
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capability working with Microsoft Office suite of products; extremely proficient in Excel formulas
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, management, and other departments
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
