Systems Engineer LAC.
The Systems Engineer stays current with vendor-specific technical certifications in order to make appropriate recommendations to resellers on the configuration and design of system solutions. Promotes product awareness, provides pre-sales technical support including phone support, system diagrams, proposals, and training in order to grow the sales of a funding vendor's product line. Works closely with TD SYNNEX - Shyft Global Services product Manager and the funding vendor's representatives to execute marketing activities. Establishes and develops solid business relationships with vendors, TD SYNNEX customers and other internal TD SYNNEX - Shyft Global Services departments. Identifies opportunities to improve the quality of Systems Engineering engagement with inside and outside customers. Accepts ownership of suggested improvements and works with the TD SYNNEX - Shyft Global Services team & vendor, through the Systems Engineering Management to develop an implementation plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:
Provides technical solutions and configuration design expertise to customers and sales on specified product line(s). Uses independent judgement and discretion in making solution recommendations. No second-level review occurs.
Provides phone support in accordance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Provides sales/marketing support to increase vendor and product awareness.
Provides technical presentations/training to sales, support, and customers.
Participates in departmental projects in leadership/ownership role.
Reports on key metrics as designated by product line(s) of responsibility and distributes monthly update to SE Manager, Product Marketing Team, and vendor representative(s).
Logs customer calls.
Places orders for customers in accordance with TD SYNNEX's pricing guidelines.
Updates TD SYNNEX's systems and tools with accurate technical data on specific product line(s).
Provides technical and non-technical input to team members, project leaders, and management, as appropriate.
Develops and obtain approval on Quarterly Vendor Objectives (QVO) document which states goals and objectives to support vendor's marketing strategy to grow sales.
Develops tactical plan and perform associated duties necessary to support QVO. Travels to perform and receive training, attend trade shows and other marketing events.
Participates in trade shows, seminars, trainings, and other marketing events.
Attends scheduled Marketing Team meetings.
Seeks and participates in cross-training activities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by Systems Engineering Management or Team Lead.

Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
Able to use relevant computer system applications (which may include spreadsheets, word processors, databases, etc) at an intermediate level.
Minimum of one current major certification recognized by the Systems Engineering Department (currency must be maintained), with a strong commitment to continued development of technical skills as evidenced by additional certifications or demonstrated expertise on a relevant technology or product line.
Minimum of (5) years technical support experience with PC's, high-end servers, local area networks, and associated components with at least (2) years in phone support environment
Minimum of (1) year vendor relations experience in a presales vendor support role
Minimum of (1) year experience in formal product presentations and/or technical sales training experience to small and medium audiences
Minimum of (1) year experience in project management
Previous trade show experience
Knowledge of the interoperability of various PC components, software, peripherals, networking, desktop platforms, applications, standalone and network operating systems, with strong technical abilities in at least (2) of these areas
