Facilities Manager

Summary
This position is responsible to oversee the building and grounds and all building-related activities. The Manager will ensure that the building and grounds are maintained which requires daily and weekly cleaning schedules as well as determining and scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections. Many of these activities will be outsources and the Manager will manage team(s) of contractors. The Manager is in charge of an annual budget and, along with purchasing, must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs and other measures. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the external upkeep of the building.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.)
- Schedule and prioritize facility maintenance requirements including preventative maintenance requirements, seating arrangements and improvement activities.
- Supervise outside contractors as needed
Job Duties:
- Schedule any relevant annual inspections / audits
- Responsible for storage and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Responsible for adhering to the annual operating plan (AOP) including CAR preparation
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize cost
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Other duties as assigned

- Good analytical / critical thinking skills
- Strong ability to work effectively to deadlines, handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changes in environment while leveraging solid communication and relationship skills
- Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
