Application Engineer

Position summary: Support customer-engineering requirement and coordinate internal resource to delivery sample/data on time

Reports to (role):   Engineering Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Being the Technical Contact for Test- and Design engineers at our customers
• Translate customer requirements into product requirements Consultation of customers about our products
•  Consultation of our customers concerning the influence of changes on product cost and price
• Consultation of manufacturing concerning products
• Product definition for IAM
• Support to productivity initiatives as outsourcing, etc.
• Close cooperation with different departments (product and process eng. Test, sales, marketing, production etc) required
• Act as a project leader from the start through product launch for customers.
• Comply with the safety and environment requirements and responsibilities.

Qualifications/ certifications:

Bachelor degree needed Effective communication skills Desire to work in a team environment Business Acumen

Ideal candidate experience:

Skills and capabilities

Experience in Automotive or supplier industry                                                        Excellent knowledge of Friction and Brake Technology (manufacturing process and application) Several years of experience with customers and suppliers; customer oriented personality Excellent knowledge in English additional language skills preferred (German, French) Excellent knowledge of PC-standard software, preferable further knowledge in SAP, CAD, etc. Self-starter and capable of working independently
