Shift Supervisor, Warehouse

TD SYNNEX Lutterworth, Leicestershire (Onsite) Full-Time

We are seeking an exceptional talent to join us in our Logistics centre who will Supervise a team of warehouse personnel to ensure the provision of a professional incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by the Warehouse Manager.

  • Create, develop and maintain and execute against working plans to ensure sufficient resource with relevant skill set are in place to achieve agreed departmental and shift objectives.

  • Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training & development and health, safety & welfare of your team.

  • Assist with regular and ad hoc site activities such as full inventory checks, system development and implementation.

  • Ensure all stock is stored, handled and transported securely and in line with company procedures, hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.

  • Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service to all customers.

  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager.

  • Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate.

  • Deputise and provide cover for absent colleagues as required, and regularly refresh on processes to ensure this can be achieved effectively.

  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.

  • Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.

  • Implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Warehouse.

  • Ensure immediate and wider management team are pro-actively informed of any situation or behaviour that presents actual or potential risk to the following: Well being of others, compliance with TD SYNNEX’s code of conduct, ability to achieve service level and financial objectives.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting. Manual handling training to be provided.
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Total customer satisfaction (internally and externally).
  • Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards.
  • Honest, trustworthy, able to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen to learn and acquire new skills, responds positively to feedback.
  • Demonstrates initiative and contributes ideas.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving without cutting corners.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills. Flexible, adaptable, and calm when working under pressure.
  • Ability to make decisions and to use initiative.
  • Possesses a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and IT competent (MS Office).
  • Willing to build strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Actively demonstrates and promotes TD SYNNEX’s shared values.
