Corporate Tax Summer Intern
A Little About Us
The corporate tax team is responsible for all global direct and indirect taxes, along with tax reporting included in the company’s financials. Our team is focused on delivering sound tax support in a dynamic business. Our tax team is spread across multiple countries and U.S. states.
This role will report to the Senior Direct Tax Manager of Compliance. It will be focused on supporting the U.S. direct tax team in all aspects of income tax compliance and reporting.

As a self-starter with project management and analytical skills, you have the ability to drive completion of tasks that you have been assigned.
Responsibilities
The corporate tax intern will gain hands-on tax experience working in a corporate tax department by assisting the income tax team by actively contributing to the tax return and provision computations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the calculation and preparation of corporate federal, state, and local income tax returns with a third-party service provider
Data gathering from various tax and accounting systems to assist in the completion of projects
Prepare income tax quarterly estimates
Assists with researching and responding to inquiries from taxing jurisdictions
Assists with the preparation of the quarterly income tax provision
Identify, develop, and capture efficiency improvements related to workpapers and processes leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and others
Researching tax issues in Bloomberg Tax, analyzing applicable tax laws, and documenting conclusions
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as online courses, career development, and mentoring
Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership of new and different tasks
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Required Experience
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field; focus on taxation is preferred
Strong computer skills, primarily Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and other similar functions
This role will be for a candidate who will work primarily remotely and therefore they must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and a quick learner
An analytical and highly organized individual who displays initiative and can work independently after receiving instructions from their manager
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with good interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with both tax department team members and other business partners
