Director, Sales Data & Insights
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Data & Insights to join our team and play a critical role in supporting our direct sales force to drive revenue and growth. You will be responsible for building insights solutions through analysis of first-party data, as well as primary and secondary research to inform the go-to-market positioning and client-vertical narratives for Yahoo Ads’ suite of products.
A strong analytical background, communication and problem-solving skills, plus a solid understanding of digital advertising are essential.
Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders in Ad Sales and Go-to-Market Strategy teams to gather insights needs about industries, audiences and media consumption trends, that inform sales narratives and client pitches.
Select and apply appropriate data collection methods leveraging a combination of quantitative methodologies: data mining, analytics, and primary or secondary research.
Analyze diverse datasets, distill findings into actionable insights and communicate results via compelling visuals and presentation.
Partner with other analytics and engineering teams to enhance existing analytical solutions or build new tools that serve sales insights needs.
Document methodologies, and processes for knowledge sharing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in analytics, consumer insights or quantitative research with strong customer-facing, consultative expertise.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity, being an effective problem-solver and embracing continuous learning.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with SQL or other data extraction languages and tools (e.g., R, Python).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
Proficiency in syndicated research tools (e.g. Comscore, MRI, Simmons, GWI, etc.).
Experience using survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics), designing research questions and managing relationships with market research vendors.
A solid combination of analytical and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring data accuracy.

) page to learn more.The compensation for this position ranges from $129,210.00 - $281,305.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
