We do this by collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality content and engaging experiences to the 35 million users who come to us everyday. Under a new leadership team, we are committed to revitalizing this well-recognized and reliable source of breaking news, entertainment, culture, wellness, sports and finance content and positioning it for the future. On the Curation team, we spend our days selecting the content featured across Yahoo News, from breaking news and trending storylines to deeper dives and delightful distractions. When we're not focusing on the news itself, we're busy developing new experiences and tools to modernize our offerings and provide a best-in-class experience for our users.
A lot about you:

Work closely with 3P providers on a daily basis and during major tentpole events, including but not limited to fielding and soliciting pitches, understanding external partners’ content plans to help communicate those plans to internal team plans.
Collaborate closely on the Yahoo editorial tentpole calendar, identifying the best content partners and proactively soliciting content and unique opportunities
Solicit and respond to special pitches outside of tentpoles, assessing their fit with company goals and strategic initiatives.
Work closely with all teams across the Editorial org to identify opportunities to enhance existing and develop new content products for our users that feature unique content topics and formats
Support content strategy by helping to identify new providers to target and facilitating onboarding of new providers
Work closely with peers on the curation and originals teams to help align 3P content with internal programming plans
Foster strong relationships both within the company and with external partners to ensure ongoing success in collaborative efforts
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with external partners and internal teams.
Extensive experience in content programming and strategy, including top notch editorial judgement. Experience in strategic planning or project management is a plus.
The ideal candidate has experience at a nationally-focused outlet and is comfortable with multiple content categories, ranging from traditional News to Entertainment and Lifestyle. Familiarity with Sports and Finance as well is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
