A Little About Us

The Ads Data Platform team at Yahoo provides a robust backbone to run Yahoo DSP,  including serving, targeting, billing and reporting, measurement, insights, and more. We contribute to Yahoo DSP's success and help deliver hundreds of billions of ads across the world every year. As part of the Ads Data platforms team, we are responsible for managing data pipelines, data lakes, internal reporting and conversion attribution products.

We are looking for a Product Manager to manage the roadmap and execution of Ads Data Platforms engineering teams and cross functional feature development with other product managers, business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Role is open to applicants in Ireland.

A Little About You

  • Deal with Ambiguity: You are a problem solver and a problem finder before that. You love working on challenging, ambiguous, and unstructured problems. As the industry keeps evolving at an unprecedented pace, our needs around threat detection and legal/policy issues keep evolving just as quickly.

  • Tech-savvy: You have an inquisitive mind and constantly update yourself with the latest in the relevant tech and competitors’ capabilities and strategies. You can act as the interface between engineers and the business and translate business & product needs into technical requirements.

  • Get into the weeds: You are extremely data-driven, and you have database query skills so that you can analyze data on your own and not be dependent on others to perform analysis.

  • Work with cross-functional teams: As a member of the Ads Data team, you are able to coordinate and work with multiple cross-functional teams across different countries to build consensus and alignment around their own product areas.

  • Excellent communicator: You have the ability to translate complex business challenges into simple and clear language for our engineering team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Working with peer product managers to define cross-functional feature requirements and implementation roadmap

  • Defining product requirements/user stories and launching new product capabilities using Agile methodology.

  • Leading an agile engineering  team(s) to deliver value for customers quickly while iterating towards your long-term vision.

  • Assist in ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across data products. Work with data governance teams to ensure data quality standards are upheld in the data lake.

  • Support the development of dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to business users. Help monitor and improve data availability, performance, and accuracy in reporting solutions.

  • Conduct user research to understand pain points and opportunities for improving the data lake and reporting tools.

  • Bringing to market product-based solutions & features across multiple delivery teams (Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Documentation, etc.)

  • Align with analytics and metrics – KPIs that drive business growth and engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, data management, or related roles.

  • Familiarity with data lake concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

  • Understanding of reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) and data analytics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think independently.

  • Keen eye on backend feature development, data processing, data management,  and data discovery solutions.

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills (written, verbal)

  • An ability to multitask, organize & lead complex features, detail orientation, and be able to summarize.

  • Experience delivering products using Agile / Kanban / Scrum software development & Engineering practices.

  • A broad understanding of web & internet technologies, application development tech, and IT infrastructure; direct adtech experience is a plus.
