Junior Android Developer

Shutterfly is looking for a Junior Android Developer (Software Applications Engineer II) to join our team. This is a temporary role and a hybrid position based out of our Haifa office with flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new features following Android best practices.
• Debug, test, and optimize app performance to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to integrate features seamlessly.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards.
• Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends and tools.

Qualifications:

• Around 2 years of Android development experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with a solid understanding of the Android SDK.
• Familiarity with Android architectures (MVC, MVVM, or MVI).
• Experience with Dependency Injection (DI) frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
• Comfortable working with REST APIs and Git version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
