MDM Vendor Specialist

Arconic is currently in search of MDM Vendor Specialist to join our Business Unit/Team in Location.

The purpose of this role is to oversee the administrative activities (data entry and modification) within Master Data Management. Working together with team members of an external outsourcing company and to ensure sustainable compliance with internal/external audit and SOX requirements.

Major Activities:

  • Oversight of owned business processes ensuring they are completed accurately, timely and within requirements outlined within the Financial Management Handbook, SLA agreement with Shared Services customers, and the processes outlined in the MDM Document Index.
  • Regular review of reporting, trend analysis, and quality reviews for owned business processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring Arconic’s key sensitive data is kept up to date and is accurate for all stakeholders
  • Working with Arconic’s suppliers on validating banking information – in order to increase security and prevent financial fraud
  • Working with team members and leads of external outsourcing company to ensure process quality standards are maintained.
  • Expression of ideas to support process improvements.
  • Assisting with external outsourcer and customer inquiries regarding owned processes as they occur.
  • Escalation of excessive process inquiries or quality issues to Arconic management.
  • Oversight and assistance with MDM activities being completed by external outsourcer.
  • Documentation of new customer requests and working with external outsourcer to identify standard deliverable requirements.
  • Approval sign-off for assigned Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review and sign-off of assigned ASAT testing
  • Review and submission of deliverables prepared by external outsourcer.
  • Assist resource units, business units, locations and Arconic leadership with ad hoc requests and projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • College degree or OKJ certificate or 4 years’ experience in demonstrated data handling, database management
  • Professional English language capabilities and preferably additional European language skills  

Essential Knowledge/Skills:

  • Customer focus, results orientation, problem solving capabilities, professionalism, collaboration, attention to details are essential.
  • Self-confidence, learning orientation, global awareness, judgment, initiative, tenacity are needed in this position.
     

Preferred Experience:

  • Broad business understanding with specific knowledge of Master Data Management, processes, and related internal controls.
  • Procurement, Sales and/or Supply Chain Management with an exposure to a variety of commodities and suppliers/customers.
  • Accounting and Invoice Processing (Understanding of the basic accounting rules and payment methods, as well as the banking information).
  • Supplier Performance Measurement and Management.
  • Broad knowledge of procurement practices and processes as well as supporting tools, IT-solutions and methodologies.
  • Risk Management (Risk identification and assessment, risk management)
