Director, Infrastructure Transformation
Job Title: Director of Infrastructure Transformation

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Global Director of Infrastructure Transformation to lead our organization's cloud transformation strategy and oversee infrastructure integration efforts related to private equity mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cloud computing, hybrid environments, and IT infrastructure modernization. They will play a pivotal role in driving technological synergies, scalability, and operational excellence across our global IT landscape. The position may be based in Northville, Michigan and reports directly to the VP IT Infrastructure & Operations of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cloud Transformation & Infrastructure Strategy
- Develop and execute a global infrastructure architecture strategy with a primary focus on cloud transformation (multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, on-premise to cloud migration).
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cloud technologies to drive business agility, cost efficiency, and innovation.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance, security best practices, and compliance across global operations.
- Partner with key stakeholders to align IT infrastructure strategy with business objectives, ensuring seamless digital transformation.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration
- Provide technical due diligence and lead infrastructure assessments for private equity-backed M&A transactions.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure integration strategies post-acquisition.
- Standardize IT infrastructure across acquired entities to ensure operational consistency, performance, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline IT systems consolidation and cloud migration plans.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with a global team of infrastructure architects, engineers, and cloud specialists.
- Drive collaboration between IT, security, finance, and business leaders to align technology investments with growth objectives.
- Mentor and develop talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Represent IT infrastructure in executive-level discussions, providing insights on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
Security, Compliance, & Risk Management
- Ensure infrastructure security, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement robust cloud security frameworks to mitigate risks associated with multi-cloud environments.
- Maintain compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, and industry-specific standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education: (EDUCATION REQUIREMENT)
Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, with a significant focus on cloud transformation and enterprise-scale systems.
Skills:
- Proven experience in leading global cloud transformation initiatives (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid environments).
- Strong background in private equity M&A, including IT due diligence, post-merger integration, and infrastructure consolidation.
- Expertise in networking, virtualization, storage, containerization, and automation tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and cloud governance best practices.
- Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to influence and engage C-level executives and business stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP) are a plus.
