Marketing Specialist I

Shutterfly Durham, NC (Onsite) Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will focus on executing marketing campaigns, managing content creation, and working closely with external collaborators to support the execution of our go-to-market (GTM) strategy. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to help drive the success of our marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution & GTM Strategy Support:
    • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns aligned with the company’s GTM strategy.
    • Support the implementation of marketing tactics and activities that drive lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
    • Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Assist in the creation and submission of creative briefs and requests, and project manage progress, timelines, and deliverables in Asana. 
    • Ensure feedback loop and approval milestones are completed by key stakeholders.
  • Content Sourcing & Management:
    • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of marketing materials.
    • Identify existing content or identify content gap based on creative brief and GTM strategy.
    • Organize, and manage content for marketing initiatives.
    • Collaborate with designers, writers, and other internal resources to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Collaboration with External Partners:
    • Identify potential external collaborators and influencers to support campaign execution.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for external collaborators and influencers, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the partnership lifecycle. 
    • Coordinate project timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth collaboration and adherence to campaign goals.
    • Review and track the performance of content produced by external parties, providing feedback and recommendations for optimization.
  • Data Tracking & Reporting:
    • Assist in tracking the performance of marketing campaigns, including analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide regular reports on campaign performance, content effectiveness, and collaboration outcomes.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing strategies by offering insights and suggestions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a marketing coordinator, marketing specialist, or related role (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Solid understanding of marketing concepts, digital marketing tools, and platforms.
  • Experience with social media management, email marketing, and content creation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing software/tools (e.g., CRM systems, project management platforms, email marketing tools) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with analytics tools to measure campaign performance.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
