Purpose
The Inside Sales Representative plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This role must be comfortable making several calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails from provided list of customers
• Responsible for full cycle sales process: quotes, lift plans, enter into Sales Force, collect payment or set up credit account, communicate new jobs with dispatch
• Requires quick turnaround and quick response time with customers and operations team; must have a sense of urgency
• Understand customer needs and requirements
• Answer potential customers’ questions and send additional information as needed
• Keep up with product and service information and updates
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales Representative for further development and closure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions
• Close sales and achieve annual quotas provided by Regional Sales & Marketing Director
Minimum Requirements
Education:
• High School diploma or GED
Experience:
• 1+ years’ experience in customer facing role
• 2+ years’ in inbound / outbound call center preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or construction sales preferred
• 1+ years’ experience using Sales Force system
Skills/Knowledge:
• Moderate knowledge of MS Office and CRM software
• Advanced phone and cold calling skills
• Advanced customer service skills
• Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
Language Skills:
Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger; handle or feel; and kneel; crouch; and talk; or hear; push and/or pull; reach; bend and/or stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of an office job. Little to no physical effort required; sitting, standing, walking, typing, and answering phones are regular actions performed in this role. Occasional exposure to physical risk, work is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment.
