Operations Manager

Tenneco Rybnik, Województwo Śląskie (Onsite) Full-Time

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead an extensive and highly skilled team based in our plant in Rybnik, Poland.

Responsibilities

1.Has authority and is responsible for:

- Processes: “Rybnik Production” and QMS in meeting the requirements of the New International Standard applicable to the automotive sector (IATF),

- Ensuring that processes achieve the intended results (IATF),

- Ensuring adequate resources (IATF),

- Reporting the results of QMS performance and implementation of improvement activities to Top Management,

- Taking appropriate corrective and preventive actions without reasonable delay and verifying the effectiveness of the actions taken (IATF),

- Ensure consistency of the QMS when planning and implementing changes to the QMS (IATF),

- Collecting data related to the process (for which he/she is responsible) and maintaining relevant documented information (IATF),

- Setting quality objectives and related training (IATF),

- Communicating changes being made within its area (IATF),

- Promoting customer orientation (IATF),

- Ensure product quality on each production shift and has the authority to stop shipping and production to resolve quality problems in accordance with the STOP-CALL-WAIT procedure and escalation matrix (IATF).

2. Coordination of the activities of the various departments:

3. Ensure continuity of the production process by:

- Implementing autonomous maintenance (TPM);

- Making machines available to carry out planned maintenance activities.

- Coordinating the Planning department;

4. Proper management of human resources of subordinate departments:

- Establish and supervise the organizational structure of production in accordance with Tenneco standards (TMS);

- Ensuring and controlling safety conditions at production sites and compliance with EHS regulations.

5. Approval of production process concepts (implementation of new products, modernization of existing products),

6. Approval of procedures, instructions and work standardization sheets.

7. Taking measures aimed at improving the quality of products and production processes, improving the organization and methods of work.

8. Management of allocated funds for operational expenses (OPEX), analysis of deviations.

9. Analyze current production reports, initiate actions in case of irregularities.

10. On-time preparation of current reports and evaluation of business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field, such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or similar.
  • Proven experience and expertise as operations manager.
  • Deep knowledge of production management.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
  • Very good knowledge of production methods and techniques (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of information systems to support production management.
  • Comfortable with legal and regulatory processes to ensure company compliance.
  • Outstanding communication ability and advanced English and Polish language skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
