Associate Solution Consultant, AutoCAD - India

TD SYNNEX Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Onsite) Full-Time

Position Summary

We are looking for an energetic, dedicated technical business development professionals to work as an Associate Solutions Consultant with expertise in AutoCAD including all Industry Specialized Toolset (IST) to support Autodesk’s business development team. You will be bridge between Autodesk, Reseller/VARs/Solution partners and the front lines with our AutoCAD key customers in automotive, manufacturing, commerce, architecture, engineering and construction to help design comprehensive technical solutions that meet their critical business requirements. This role is instrumental in ensuring the success of our highest-profile customer productions and will collaborate with Autodesk engineering and product teams to advocate for our customers. Application Engineers/Associate Solution Consultants would be responsible to utilize end-users’ and reseller’s input and sales information to ensure and support the integration of Autodesk solutions and services, addressing customer’s business requirements and challenges across Malaysia. The Associate Solutions Consultant shall work on the targeted accounts independently for the possible closure, as required.

The position reports direct to a Datech Malaysia Manager-Solutions Consultant.

Key focus area:

  • Industry and Technical Specialty: Manufacturing (CAD,CAE,CAM)/ Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Desktop and SaaS/PaaS applications etc.

  • Account Management: Technical Account Management, Customer Success etc.

  • Technical Marketing Management: Content creation and management, Onsite/online event organization etc.

  • Partner Enablement and Management: Continuous engagement, Collaboration etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Consulting & Technical Support services activities and provide expertise to customers together with the partners and Autodesk by performing technical discussions, solution demonstrations, deployment and installation, mentoring, implementation, maintenance etc. to position and adoption of AutoCAD IST applications and portfolio. Organize and conduct enablement activities such as solution and workflow presentations, trainings/mentoring, workshops, webinars, seminars covering Autodesk/ Datech solutions and products for resellers and their customers.

  • Analyze customer enquiries and map/develop solutions for AutoCAD IST.

  • Organize and deliver training courses and mentoring sessions for AutoCAD IST and related solutions.

  • Deliver product presentations to customers (in-house, fairs etc…) and tradeshows, webinars etc.

  • Deliver online training courses (internet) for sales partners and their customers.

  • Provide project support for customer projects (billable).

  • Support Datech staff with Autodesk product related topics.

  • Create, document and publish hard and software benchmarks in the Autodesk environment.

  • Write product-specific articles for in-house and external professional media (e.g. Datech Portal).

  • Active participation in marketing initiatives conducted by Datech Business Unit for technical, application purposes.

  • Be an Industry/subject matter expert on allocated product group.

Skills & experience

Because Associate Solution Consultants operate at the intersection of the Autodesk, Value Added Resellers and end-user customers, they must possess strong communication abilities, excellent mathematical skills and the capacity to facilitate teamwork across departments. Solution Consultants are uniquely talented in both customer success and services and detail-oriented, proficient in analytical tasks and in consequence should be an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge and/or experience of AutoCAD and other competitor solutions.

  • Demonstrated track record of customer-centric service, either technical pre-sales or consultancy, and team-first approach.

  • Experience in setting up and moderating customer meetings focused on the technical discovery and communicating the outcome to internal stakeholders.

  • Experience using AutoCAD, and other Autodesk solutions in productions and/or other solution selling roles .

  • In depth understanding and knowledge of current IT landscape and technology (Networks, operating Systems, internet, database, scripting, cloud, etc.).

  • Knowledge of API and any programing language (VB, Auto lisp) is beneficial.

  • Experience working in either manufacturing, architecture, engineering or construction.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or a related field/equivalent applicable

  Experience.

  • Knowledgeable on principles, practices and techniques of project management.

  • Proven strong negotiation skills and persuasion to align resellers and end-users towards Autodesk strategy and collaborative solutions.

  • Proven persistence and resilience in a technical high growth software industry.

  • Team player with a strong customer orientation.

  • Good knowledge of English and any other local regional language would be beneficial.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Must be willing to travel as required within Malaysia and APAC.

  • Has technical degree or equivalent qualification for the relevant industry and product area.
