eCommerce Manager

Shutterfly Eden Prairie, MN (Onsite) Full-Time

That’s why our family of brands helps customers create products and capture moments that reflect who they uniquely are. We are seeking a skilled eCommerce Merchandising Specialist II to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our customers' journey through strategic site merchandising initiatives.  

   

The eCommerce Manager is responsible for optimizing our online store's performance by creating a seamless and helpful shopping experience. This role involves a combination of strategic thinking, data analysis, and creativity to drive engagement, improve search and navigation, and introduce new features and experiences.  

   

The person in this role will work to optimize funnel conversion and serve as the business lead for select eCommerce Roadmap projects.  They are expected to participate in review of site analytics and to suggest ideas for onsite merchandising tests or optimizations to increase conversion and revenue per visitor.     

   

The person in this role must be detail oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks under aggressive timelines as well as a “can-do” attitude and full accountability.     

   

This person will have demonstrated skill with eCommerce and/or catalog tools and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.  This position will work closely with eCommerce Merchandising Managers, as well as cross-functional teams in Merchandising, Marketing, Product Management, UX, and Engineering.     

   

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:      

  • Site Merchandising Strategy:  
    • Develop and execute effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.  
    • Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, accurate representation online, and drive the best customer experience possible while meeting business objectives.  
    • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding product placements and promotions.     
  • Content Management:  
    • Oversee the creation and optimization of product & design content, including images, descriptions, and specifications in Shutterfly’s content management system and/or catalog.  
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across the e-commerce platform.  
  • New Features and Experiences  
    • Stay abreast of industry/category trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for new features and experiences.  
    • Work closely with UX/UI teams to conceptualize and implement innovative features that enhance the overall shopping experience.  
    • Conduct A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new features & experiences and continuously iterate for improvement.  
    • Execute the launch of new products, features and/or services across all platforms on time and in alignment with visual merch strategy.     
  • Search & Navigation Optimization:  
    • Conduct regular analysis of search trends and customer behavior.  
    • Implement and optimize search algorithms to enhance product discoverability.  
    • Collaborate with the IT team to improve website navigation for an intuitive and efficient user experience.     
  • Performance Analysis  
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to site merchandising and user experience.  
    • Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, suggesting actionable improvements based on data analysis.     

Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.  
  • Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising  
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.  
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and content management/catalog systems.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.  
  • Possess an affinity for the customer and a desire to provide the best customer experience.    
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently
