Social Media Intern

Tenneco Southfield, MI (Onsite) Full-Time

Title: Social Media Intern

Summary/Position Overview: The Social Media Intern is a self-motivated individual who will assist all aspects of our social media programs including social brand promotional strategy and planning, content strategy, campaign management and monitoring and reporting on program results to help drive brand awareness, engagement and sales in DRiV’s aftermarket business within the Americas region. They will also be responsible for assisting in all community management within North America.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor various social media pages and community management activities for, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Communicate with technicians and end-consumers through social channels and create a positive dialog about DRiV products and brands through community management and customer service.
  • Assist in digital and user-generated content promotion management.
  • Execute social media common response guides that identify tone, communication style, responses to frequently asked questions and how to handle various types of issues that will undoubtedly arise.
  • Assist in social media content development and proof all social media content (images, video and copy) for North American social media pages.
  • This position will take a lead role in managing our social listening platform and mining data to help our quality, engineering, sales, and marketing teams with feedback on products and general DRiV brands commentary.
  • Assist the Manager on all paid and organic social analytics and reporting utilizing SocialBakers and other platforms/tools.
  • Assist the Manager, social media and Digital Promotions, Americas on agency creative requirements for social media content and other projects.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of social media, community management and digital promotions
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in PowerPoint and common social media and publishing platforms including Facebook and Facebook Ad Manager Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written); ability to provide concise, clear reporting and actionable analysis.
  • Proven ability to self-check work to ensure results are error-free.
  • Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of digital marketing, advertising and web development

Required Experience:

  • Pursuing a BS/BA preferably in Communications, Digital Marketing or related field (prefer recently graduated or senior and ready to graduate)
