East Coast Technical Sales Manager

Arconic Eastman, GA (Onsite) Full-Time

Arconic is currently in search of a Technical Sales Manager – East Coast to join our Commercial Team of Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) of Eastman, GA.

Job Summary:

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will support our AAP business by meeting the projected national market share sales volume of ACM, Plate and accessory products for the year. The primary function of this individual contributor role is the technical review, promotion, and profitable sale for all AAP products in the Architectural market for both new and remodel construction.

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with architects/specifiers to secure product specifications, bidding and job pursuit including design intent and wall cladding application support;
  • Grow sales volumes and work as an integral team member to the outside sales organization;
  • Perform high market research, anticipation of new and developing trends, development of key relationships with architects, specifiers, and program owners; 
  • Promote and sell a variety of products, ability to counsel influencers on matters of product promotion, appropriate applications, and generic product installation inquiries;
  • Participate in and assist with sharing project leads to outside sales team and key Architectural accounts for growth in strategic markets;
  • Develop Continuing Education and additional AIA presentations to further increase touchpoints for this person and our outside sales team within the broader design and construction market;
  • Participate in tradeshows, conferences, marketing events, and other activities related to key growth initiatives, as needed.

A successful candidate will: 

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of wall construction, ACM and Plate applications, coil coating, AAP supply chain and product
  • Possess a strong knowledge of Building and Construction industry
  • Possess ability to promote and market a variety of products and applications
  • Use industry tools to research and target marketing efforts to specific influencers Effectively communicate verbally and written
  • Effectively communicate both written and verbal
  • Be growth driven yet still balance company goals and objectives against customer needs
  • Possess the ability to successfully influence and counsel on product promotion, applications, and product installation
  • Possess proficient computer knowledge, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT and using other CRM programs 

Also note:

  • This is a remote work from home position which has a travel expectation of up to 50%.
  • You must have the ability to travel to the Eastman facility as needed for internal objectives. 
  • This position is eligible for a variable compensation component based on incremental growth of AAP product.

You have: (required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Sales, Economics, Marketing, Architecture, or Business-related field
  • 10 years of ACM or Plate Aluminum experience in the building and construction industry

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

  • 15+ years of ACM or Plate Aluminum experience in the building and construction industry
  • Diverse experience with design, estimating, and project management/fabrication of wall cladding assemblies
  • Strong selling knowledge of geographical areas of the country and AAP’s products to meet and exceed customer and BU’s expectations
  • Extensive network of Influencers (Developers, Architects, Specification Professionals) and participation in industry related trade associations.
