General Summary

Assist in the finishing, assembly and packaging of products. Operate manufacturing equipment to produce component parts. Set up equipment as necessary. Might make minor adjustments to equipment in order to maintain production and quality standards. Notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Duty

  1. Set up and operate equipment to assist in the assembly of products. This includes trimming, welding, cutting, coating, heating, counting and packaging.

  1. Check equipment and tool settings against specifications before operation, making adjustments when necessary.

  1. Monitor inventory and alert Operations Supervisor when supplies are running low.

  1. Follow safety procedures and DRIV’s safety policy at all times. Notify the Operations Supervisor of unsafe or hazardous working conditions immediately.

Addendum: Specifics for Area Worked

LP Head Gasket Assembly

  • Set-Up Press – Change closing tools.
  • Pre-Close Tools – Remove previous job tool and install incoming job tool.
  • Size Wires – Re size wires by removing and setting new mandrels.
  • Assemble Gaskets – Using bodies, armors, wires, eyelets, grommets.
  • Quality – Inspect gasket for release (make sure that the parts are correct.)
