Copy Editor, Yahoo Finance
At Yahoo Finance, we produce news content that helps our audience navigate the ins and outs of financial markets, household-name companies, and other top business stories. We’re looking for a rigorous copy editor who enjoys working with others and will bring a high standard of excellence to improve content quality and act as a line of defense against errors.
Responsibilities:
Copy edit, proofread, and format finance news articles, videos, graphics, and other forms of content
Fact check stories for accuracy
Ensure content is optimized for search
Develop and expand Yahoo Finance’s style guide
Wage a relentless war against jargon and language that obfuscates
Ensure that content matches Yahoo Finance’s brand voice and is accessible to readers
Required Qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Excellent judgment when it comes to grammar, syntax, and style
Editorial SEO experience
Ability to learn headline writing and photo choices
Familiarity with applying AP style or other in-house style guides
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
B.A. preferred or equivalent job experience
General knowledge of business and finance news

) page to learn more.The compensation for this position ranges from $56,250.00 - $117,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
