We’re searching for a skilled Manager of OneStream Administration to participate in the administration, development, and optimization of the OneStream platform. This role will support critical financial processes, including consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while identifying and implementing enhancements to improve platform efficiency and user experience.
The number one objective of this position is to develop and execute processes, documentation, and enhancements that improve user experience while driving efficiencies in the finance processes supported by the platform.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Accounting and FP&A teams to plan, execute, and support month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting routines. The role also involves contributing to system enhancements that automate processes, drive efficiency, and enable self-service capabilities for end users.
This role will also include collaborating on formal succession planning, assisting in creating career paths for team members, and supporting efforts to minimize the impact of team turnover. Continuous improvement of fundamental user training will be prioritized to enhance onboarding experiences for the Finance organization.
As part of a global organization, this role will require occasional flexibility for off-hours support during critical financial close and reporting activities.
This position reports directly to the Director of OneStream Administration of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Platform Participation
- Participate in the administration and maintenance of the OneStream platform, ensuring system stability, performance, and availability.
- Contribute to system upgrades, patches, and enhancements by coordinating with internal stakeholders and third parties.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of user roles, permissions, and security settings.
- Executing the OneStream platform roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and evolving business needs.
Development & Optimization
- Participate in the design, development, and testing of new OneStream solutions to enhance financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other critical processes.
- Support automation efforts to minimize manual work and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate on optimizing existing applications, workflows, and dashboards for improved efficiency and user experience.
- Implement business rules, workflows, and calculations to support financial and operational models.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation of the platform.
Collaboration & Process Participation
- Partner closely with Accounting and FP&A teams to plan, execute, and support month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting routines.
- Collaborate on identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline key financial processes, improving accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Participate in implementing self-service capabilities to empower end users while reducing administrative bottlenecks.
Training & Support
- Support the development and delivery of fundamental user training (OneStream ABC’s) to enhance onboarding and user adoption within the Finance organization.
- Provide technical support to end users, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Instruct and guide team members and users on best practices and effective use of OneStream.
- Contribute to improving user experiences by staying informed about industry trends and participating in user groups and external forums.
Team Development
- Collaborate on developing and mentoring team members to enhance their technical and professional skills.
- Assist in creating formal succession plans for the administration team, ensuring a clear career path and continuity.
- Support team efforts to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Computer Info Systems or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in OneStream administration, development, or implementation.
- Expert knowledge of financial consolidation, financial planning (forecast, budget) processes, and management/external reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in OneStream business rules, dashboards, workflows, and cube views.
- Experience integrating OneStream with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like VB.NET and SQL.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere) and scheduling solutions (e.g., AutoSys).
Skills
- Strong understanding of finance technology, including ERP systems and Corporate Performance Management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to provide off-hours support during critical financial close and reporting activities.
- Experience with supply chain and inventory management analytics in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven success in delivering CPM initiatives to improve organizational performance.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Track record of working independently and driving initiatives to completion in high-paced environments.
- Agile methodology familiarity.
