EMEA Commodity Manager

We are looking for a Commodity Manager who will direct and control the purchasing efforts for a specific subset of the Indirect Material Commodities of DRiV Motorparts. This role will understand and effectively communicate business trends and drivers that include raw material markets, currency, technological developments, competitor sourcing activities and business footprints of the Indirect Material Commodities.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve corporate, purchasing & business line goals/objectives.
- Organize and lead commodity strategy meetings to cross-functional/cross-business audience through region
- Work with DRiV operations to develop scope of work for services, equipment etc to use for RFP with existing and potential suppliers
- Organize and lead activities to support performance based requirements regionally for the assigned commodities
- Utilize commodity expertise and commodity strategies to create/update Business Plans and Strategic Plan Metrics: incl. Cost reduction, interim negotiations, BCC objectives, supplier performance objectives, advanced technology drivers.
- Set negotiation strategy and direction for commodity negotiation settings
- Drive cash flow improvements initiatives
- Organize and Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for your assigned commodity
- Enforce Tenneco’s supplier requirements.
- Coordinate with Tenneco’s legal team to ensure contractual obligations minimize risk to the Company.
What will make you successful
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement and/or Materials Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Business / Materials Management or Logistics required, with a preference for an MBA. CPM and/or CPIM certified is a plus.
- Possess knowledge of supply market trends and characteristics (e.g., associations, trade publications and indexes, etc.).
- Demonstrated background and proven experience with RFQ processes, data analysis and commodity strategies.
- Demonstrated background and proven experience with high-level supplier negotiations and materials management.
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
This role requires travelling 15-20% of the time.
