Sr. Business Development Lead
Yahoo! are looking for a new Business Development Manager to proactively drive business growth by acquiring and nurturing relationships with key media agencies and brands. This role will focus on identifying and engaging potential clients to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities, while understanding agency priorities allows for tailored solutions that foster long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with key media agencies and brands, nurturing partnerships to drive advertising revenue growth from Yahoo Japan and LINE’s global clients.
Employ diverse strategies to identify and engage potential clients, maintaining a robust pipeline of leads.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners by understanding their business priorities, challenges, and long-term plans.
Maintain regular engagement with agencies to ensure smooth collaboration, identify their needs, and coordinate with internal teams for appropriate follow-up.
Provide agencies with strategic resources, including case studies, best practices, industry benchmarks, and proposals, to help them effectively pitch to potential clients.
Serve as the first point of contact for agency inquiries, resolving platform-related and campaign-related questions, and troubleshooting various issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the digital media, advertising, or marketing industry.
Strong understanding of media buying and the digital marketing ecosystem.
Experience working with media agencies and brand clients, with a proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive business growth and close deals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with agency partners, clients, and internal teams.
Experience with multinational and global brands, understanding complex marketing needs requiring global/local alignment and collaboration.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Chinese is a plus.
Flexible to travel.
