Supply Chain Coordinator

Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® | Reynolux® products. We have a manufacturing facility in Eastman, Georgia, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America.
We have an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Coordinator to support our Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for compiling various reports, purchase order entry, preparation of order packets, researching variances and data comparisons to maintain accurate record keeping. The SC Coordinator will work as part of a larger SC team and assist with the administrative duties within the department. The SC Coordinator will receive guidance from Supply Chain Manager, SC Analysts, and Master Scheduler.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Daily reporting of Key Performance Indicators
- Daily customer order processing of standard colors, which includes processing order packets and approving change order requests. Communicating with Customer Service and Finance concerning change order requests as needed.
- Enter Purchase Orders to support raw material for plant production
- Compare supplier acknowledgements against current price pages and update PO accordingly.
- Ensure that accurate records of purchase orders, supplier correspondence, and shipments are maintained to analyze and follow-up with suppliers concerning open quantities. Organization of files is necessary to keep purchase orders cleaned up.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly departmental integrity reports, to determine by comparison what errors need to be corrected
- Compare Invoice issues with pricing and discuss findings with Accounts Payable, etc.
- Create and maintain relationships with internal and external customers including, finance, customer service, quality, shipping department and material handlers, suppliers.
- Participate in cycle count activities at outside suppliers.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines and commitments
- Seek opportunities to become involved in process improvements
- Must learn and support company policies, procedures, and methodology
- Other duties as assigned
A successful Supply Chain Coordinator must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with MS Excel and Outlook
- Ability to create concise, effective communications, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follows direction well and works efficiently
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, proactive and a team player
- Exercise independent judgment in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalency
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in an office environment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field from an accredited institution.
- JD Edwards, Oracle or other ERP system experience
- Previous experience in a Supply Chain, Inventory Management or related line of work
- 5+ years work experience in an office environment
