Omnichannel Operations Analyst

Michaels Irving, TX (Onsite) Full-Time
Support Center - Irving

The Omnichannel Operations Analyst will be responsible for analyzing e-commerce and B2B operational data related to all orders and shipments. The Analyst will work to develop and track optimization of order management, shipping expense, and profitability of ecommerce shipments. In this role the Omnichannel Operations Analyst will work with cross functional teams throughout the company to gather data utilizing various resources and then reproduce the data into presentable formats, as well as devise plans for and inform stakeholders of operational gaps and cost savings initiatives. They will be actively involved in, and sometimes lead, project work to realize these savings and efficiencies.

Major Activities

Analysis

  • Utilize Alteryx/Power BI/Excel daily to update daily reports, track KPIs and develop new reporting.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize sales and margin for all eComm initiatives.
  • Develop trends and provide insights into all ecommerce shipments and how we can minimize shipping expenses and improve customer experience.
  • Build, update, and share reporting related to Omnichannel Operational costs with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactively audit data to ensure accuracy of KPI reporting as well provide insights into data that will help reduce operational expenses.

B2B Support

  • Daily maintenance and operational support via creation of actionable reporting to identify follow up and accountability for external delivery providers for the full B2B order lifecycle.
  • Partner cross functionally as a shared resource for Ecommerce, Transportation, and B2B teams to provide ad-hoc data insights and support.

Project Management

  • Lead or participate in process improvement teams and prepare project reports for leadership.
  • Identify resources needed to reach objective and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.

Ad hoc

  • Extract insights from a smaller extraction of data on an as-needed basis to answer a single business need or query.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite programs: Excel Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook.
  • Intermediate skills using visualization and dashboarding applications (Power BI, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of SQL.

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 2+ years of experience as an analyst, data scientist, data engineer or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.
  • Significant attention to detail and an ability to quickly spot and fix problems.

Other

  • Ability to work comfortably on unstructured problems/tasks.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints.
  • Knowledge of data gathering through various software applications.
  • Keen attention to detail and technical acumen.

Preferred Education

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related Logistics field

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Experience with eCommerce Order Management Systems

Preferred Type of experience the job requires

  • 3+ years in retail planning or analysis.
