About the role:
We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Vendor, Technology commercial and business development manager who will take the ownership through working directly with vendors and customers on all aspects of business growth activity and by collaborating with all relevant business functions to deliver best in class systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the Business Unit strategy in full alignment with the agreed strategy to grow profitable market share.
Lead the vendor pricing and profit strategy through collaboration with Profit and Business Optimisation teams to review price elasticity, drive profitability improvements and handle exception management
Drive sales out of agreed vendor portfolio including new vendor identification and onboarding and other business development initiatives in order to optimize results.
Support development of direct reports and/or development of divisional assistant category managers (ACM’s) or business development execs (BDE’s)
Ownership for full product and vendor lifecycle management, including system accuracy, product adoption & creation and contract management
Hold commercial & sales relationship with vendor & customer key stakeholders
Identification of commercial & operational process improvements
Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to ensure best in class business continuity
Ownership of quarterly vendor business planning and execution
Requirements:
Experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business management level, ideally from a product marketing background
Experience of SAP R3 and business warehouse
Strong Microsoft office skills
Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling
Strategic planning and business case development
Experience of working within a matrix structure
Proven ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Business planning experience with strong operational cadence
