Boundless Inc.'s Sales Org is looking for an Account Lead to join the team. This role requires native-level Chinese, plus business-level English and or Japanese communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).

You love new challenges and enjoy working proactively to cultivate and expand new accounts to take them to the next level.

You will be deeply involved in sales pitches and will "own" a set of our highest-potential advertiser accounts. You will also be heavily involved in campaign set-up and optimization while having a deep understanding of the client’s business and challenges.

As an Account Lead, you will work closely with the new business team by actively creating proposal decks and pitching to new clients.

Leveraging best-in-class platforms, this position will manage global advertising campaigns and proactively recommend optimizations to campaigns, creatives, and landing pages across Yahoo! JAPAN Search Ads.

Job Description:

  • Work closely with the business development team in creating tailored pitch decks and crafting effective, bespoke proposals to win new client accounts.

  • Once the deal has been won, continue to work with the business development team and other internal teams to facilitate a smooth onboarding process and ensure the seamless launch of campaigns.

  • Manage, develop, and cultivate our business relationships with global clients who advertise on Yahoo! JAPAN.

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with global advertisers in Japan, based in EMEA, APAC, and potentially the US.

  • Work closely with the business development team, facilitating clients' understanding of the onboarding process and ensuring seamless launch of campaigns.

  • Proactively engage with clients to up-sell existing advertisers, cross-sell new products, and provide day-to-day support to achieve client goals.

  • Optimize campaigns by analyzing ad performance, recommending adjustments based on key performance drivers, and enhancing bidding strategies.

  • Respond to general and specific client requests/inquiries regarding billing, campaign optimization, bidding recommendations, etc.

  • Maintain and stay up-to-date regarding new trends/developments in Japan and the global digital marketing space

  • May require travel abroad across Asia and other client locations.

Requirements and skills:

  • Bilingual fluency: Native-level fluency in Chinese + business-level fluency in Japanese and or English (verbal & written skills). Must be able to conduct business in Chinese, Japanese, and or English. For Japanese, N1 Japanese level is strongly preferred.

  • 5-7+ years of experience in business development or sales-based roles.

  • 5-7+ years of experience in client-facing role(s) in online advertising.

  • 5-7+ years of experience working in digital marketing, especially Search Engine Marketing. Strong understanding of all aspects of digital marketing, including best practices for campaign optimization and management, and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the industry.

  • Familiarity with Yahoo! JAPAN advertising products, LINE Ads and/or Google advertising products.

  • In-depth understanding and ability to analyze client ROI/CPA goals and data, media buying cycles, product/service refresh plans, marketing concepts, target demographics, etc.

  • Ability to solve complex problems and identify opportunities through in-depth analysis, category expertise, and critical thinking

  • Project management skills and the ability to set correct priorities while overseeing multiple projects. 

  • Computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PPT.
