SR ANALYST - LABOR P&A, INCENTIVE, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Job Details | The Venetian Las Vegas
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Analyst Labor P&A, Incentive, and Continuous Improvement is to collaborate with property leadership to prepare and provide insightful analyses and offer recommendations, which leads to actionable results that drive better efficiency and overall company profitability.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work independently to build and deliver concise and accurate data for multiple, simultaneous analytical projects with the goal of creating efficiencies, increasing revenue, reducing expenses or improving controls and provide to the departments without prior approval.
- Conducts service studies and surveillance observations for identified positions in various departments.
- Generate and prepare findings/recommendations based on service studies, guest experience scores, volume trends, etc. and submit to the departments independently and with sole discretion without prior approval.
- Present findings/recommendations based on service studies, guest experience scores, volume trends, etc. to management including senior and executive leadership.
- Ability to challenge the status quo of operational processes and/or staffing levels and structures.
- Function as a business partner during annual labor budgets and forecasting processes. Create and establish FTE budgets for designated departments based on run rates and/or operational adjustments.
- Prepare labor/productivity training materials and conduct quarterly and individual training sessions for management including senior and executive leadership.
- Meet and collaborate with Workforce Management and departmental leadership to identify and understand the operational trends and business needs that will be utilized to generate and provide volume forecast recommendations.
- Oversee labor analytical projects for approximately 8,800+ Team Members for 100+ departments and provide actionable and strategic recommendations for management including senior leadership.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses of incentive plans and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure alignment to financial and guest service goals.
- Responsible for administering incentive payments in accordance with the department policies in a timely and accurate manner, overseeing all day-to-day decisions regarding assigned incentives.
- Build and optimize processes/templates to align with assigned projects, this includes but not limited to lean strategies, 3rd party technology reviews, and efficiency review.
- Work with the departments directly to compile and understand the data being presented during service studies and will adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Generate and analyze weekly/monthly scheduling reports that focus on labor hours, volume metrics, and productivity trends.
- Function as the team lead on major projects.
- Develop and build labor/staffing forecasting models utilizing systems such as, but not limited to: Cognos TM1, Tableau, Medallia, Virtual Roster, and Excel.
- Evaluate, render advice, and provide expertise on labor optimization based on data collected, analyzed, and evaluated.
- Work in partnership with the Business Intelligence team to enhance capabilities of the Cognos TM1 Budget & Forecasting tool.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Hospitality, Business, or equivalent Casino/Hospitality analysis experience.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience preferably in Casino / Hospitality Industry.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel and Cognos TM1.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Critical thinking skills with a curiosity for improving current processes.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
