Strategic Planner

TD SYNNEX Barcelona, Cataluña (Onsite) Full-Time

Job Purpose:  

To build excellent trading relationships with all vendors and internal stakeholders, to obtain competitive advantage for TD SYNNEX, through professional inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that maximum stock availability is achieved, through weekly purchasing, to support customer demand, while keeping within inventory budgets;
  • To provide management & internal stakeholders with weekly forecasts, to include month–end closing views on inventory & associated costs;
  • Monitor sales against forecasts and take appropriate action to maintain stock holding/profile within set budgets;
  • Maintain vendor purchase price lists within SAP and ensure inventory held is accurately valued;
  • To provide accurate weekly financial reconciliations (e.g. price changes, inventory depreciation);
  • To understand and work within all stock related clauses of vendor contracts;
  • Develop and review quarterly business plans by vendor with the Business Manager (BM) initiating vendor support as necessary to maintain optimum stock profiles;
  • To work closely with BM’s and vendors towards agreed goals and objectives, through proactive inventory management, whilst limiting stock risk through extended negotiated terms and conditions;
  • To identify problem stock areas, to review, monitor and implement corrective and preventative actions to conclusion. The key driver is to resolve with minimal cost or lost opportunity to TD SYNNEX;
  • To supervise and develop Procurement Specialists;
  • To consistently achieve set targets and objectives;
  • To work within set policies and procedures and to continually review and update where necessary;
  • To own and manage through until completion, any ad hoc projects as defined by Procurement Management and escalate as necessary;
  • Represent TD SYNNEX at all times in an efficient and professional manner.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Strong relationship management;
  • Effective communication skills with ability to deliver at all levels;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Proven experience in inventory forecasting and business planning;
  • Must be proactive and self-motivated;
  • Must have strong organisation skills with ability to plan, prioritise and maintain focus;
  • An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Able to work and achieve deadlines under pressure in fast changing environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel) and inventory replenishment systems (SAP R3) would be advantageous;
  • Knowledge of Purchasing, inventory principles and practices (CIPS qualified desirable).
