Finance Intern

Maxim Crane Works Wilder, KY (Onsite) Part-Time


Maxim Crane Works is looking for a highly motivated Finance Intern for Summer 2025! This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and business operations within the heavy equipment industry.

As part of our finance team, you’ll gain valuable real-world exposure to corporate finance while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you're a current student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and jumpstart your career.

Responsibilities:


• Preparing annual budgets and understanding key trends in business unit resource utilization.
• Assist in creating presentations for Senior Leadership.
• Perform analysis on Key Projects such as inventory, capital expenditures, fleet management and spend analysis.
• Perform other duties and cross training as assigned.
• Perform all job duties in a safe manner and obeys all safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare is various month end close procedures.
• Assist in preparing accurate, meaningful reports on an ad hoc basis for senior management.
• Support the organization while learning about a career in finance.

Requirements:


• Obtain solutions through independent analysis.
• Develop an understanding of how an FP&A team functions including systems, processes, and people.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power BI, Power Point, Access.
• Familiarity with cost accounting and the relationship to revenue recognition.
• Detail oriented.
• The ability to prioritize multiple assignments and to handle complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized.
• Improved soft and technical skills.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and travel up to 10% of the time domestically to other Maxim locations or business-related events.
