About the Team

As an intern, you will gain valuable work experience while developing your skills and establishing a track record to set you up for a potential full-time position after graduation.
 

The DSP Product Management team supports the Yahoo DSP serving some of the largest advertisers and publishers in the world, with billions of users and dollars under the influence. As a Product Manager Intern, you will join one of our teams and work on developing a feature (or part of it) throughout the duration of the internship.

Your Day
As a Product Management Intern you will work with senior members of the DSP Product Management team to execute a cohesive product strategy across Advertiser Demand feature areas. Daily activities will include:

  • Assist product managers and learn core product development responsibilities, perform market research and evaluate the competitive landscape for an assigned area

  • Learn how to interview and get feedback from customers to validate assumptions; meet with internal customers, attend client sessions, work with cross-functional teams, and write requirements (all supervised by a Senior Product Manager). 

  • Learn how to analyze internal data to inform decisions

  • Learn how to write a product requirements document, define an MVP, and get alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders

  • Learn how to partner with our engineering team and launch a feature into production

You Are

  • Curious: You love working on challenging and ambiguous tasks. You have a desire to fully understand a problem from all angles before jumping to conclusions and thinking about solutions.

  • Tech-savvy: You can act as the interface between engineers and the business, and translate business & product needs into technical requirements.

  • Detailed: Detail oriented and use creative problem solving to find workable solutions

  • An excellent communicator: You are a clear communicator, and can explain a complex topic you are familiar with to a crowd of people who aren't. You can act as the voice of the customer, and synthesize their problems and needs to our internal teams.

  • You have a proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals 

  • You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, written and presentation communication and interpersonal skills. A cross-functional influencer
