Software Presales Consultant IBM
Job Purpose:\u00A0\u00A0
Passionate Presales Consultant with expertise in IBM software solutions, able to work externally with partners, vendors and end customers to develop complex and bespoke technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and propose suitable IBM solutions (e.g. Security, Data & AI, Automation, Integration)
Helps define appropriate multi-technology solutions to meet customer needs by engaging with end users and resellers
Responsible for project management of internal and external (vendor and partner) resources in delivering complex technical solutions to end users
Some support of internal and external sales teams to deliver technical quotes in line with defined service level agreements (SLA's)
Develop and manage customer relationships with appropriate contacts
Conduct customer site visits (reseller and end user)
Draft, design and size technical proposals and support in preparing commercial offers
Develop and deliver technical demonstrations and Proof of Concept (PoC) for end users and business partners
Respond to technical requirements in RFPs/RFIs and design solution architectures
Communicate product and technology information to the relevant audience
Deal with daily product/solution enquiries from internal/external sales and resellers (not a core competency)
Utilise the Business Solution Centre (BSC) to support sales activity and improve partner utilisation rates
Maintain technical accreditation and develop wider industry knowledge to a highly competent level (applicable to all technical roles)
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Strong knowledge of IBM Software Solutions (AI, Automation, Security, Data & Analytics, Integration)
Experience in working with complex IT architectures and enterprise solution integration
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with live demonstrations, PoCs, and workshops
Strong attention to detail, priority management and planning skills
IT industry knowledge – Channel, Vendors, Competition and End User
IBM certifications or other relevant certifications are an advantage
Existing wide knowledge of product and technology portfolios as relevant to the business unit
Fluent in English
