Vendor Business Manager, Strategic Procurement
About the Role: As a Vendor Business Manager for Strategic Procurement at TD SYNNEX, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with our vendors, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes, and driving financial success. You will lead efforts to understand vendor needs and align them with TD SYNNEX’s strategic objectives to achieve optimal performance for the assigned product lines. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Position Level: This role could be classified as Level II, III, or IV depending on business needs and the candidate's skill level. This job description is reflective of a Vendor Business Manager IV
What You’ll Do:
Lead the forecasting and management of vendor funding proposals to meet and exceed monthly revenue and profitability targets, contributing to overall business success.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and operational effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong, open lines of communication with key vendors, ensuring that all relationships are managed with respect, transparency, and mutual benefit.
Collaborate with sales team and vendors to identify new opportunities, particularly those that combine unique vendor resources with TD SYNNEX capabilities to create value-driven solutions.
Lead efforts to evaluate and optimize the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer demands, and company objectives.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on assigned vendor technology and programs, providing insights and guidance to the broader team.
Prepare and analyze inventory forecasts, ensuring inventory levels meet product demand and vendor expectations.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute detailed marketing strategies and programs that drive demand and sales growth
Engage regularly with senior executives to discuss industry trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for growth.
Communicate vendor strategies, manage rebate programs, and collaborate with marketing teams to develop initiatives that drive demand and sales growth.
Lead negotiations for large-scale contracts, ensuring that all agreements align with the strategic goals of TD SYNNEX and its vendor partners.
Participate in quarterly vendor business reviews and marketing events to stay ahead of market trends and foster growth.
Provide mentorship and support to new team members and junior staff, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for candidates who bring a diverse range of skills and experiences. The ideal candidate is local to one of our US offices, capable of working on a hybrid schedule, and exhibits a strong desire to achieve great outcomes
College degree or equivalent work or military experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including delivering presentations.
Leadership qualities with a focus on inclusivity, collaboration, and fostering a positive work culture.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
A commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity in all professional dealings.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems, with proficiency in advanced computer applications.
Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 10% and occasionally work outside standard business hours, if needed.
Physical & Work Environment: Hybrid: Comfortable with a mix of office work and some time spent in front of a computer or on the phone, with reasonable accommodations made as needed. The team is located in Greenville, SC.
