Technical Sales Operations Manager

The Technical Sales Operations team is responsible for supporting the direct sold Display and Video enablement for Yahoo Ads. As part of a central Monetization team, they are responsible for the technical and operational aspects of all direct sold packaging. This includes teaming with publisher and central Sale Packaging teams pre-sale to align on serving capabilities, forecasting and managing the order management booking process, and supporting Account Managers on post sale delivery.

In this role you will: 

  • Manage inventory packaging, forecasting, and processes to create and maintain ad packages in collaboration with brand owners, yield, and sales teams.

  • Oversee the accurate delivery of direct-sold advertising campaigns.

  • Ensure campaign types, targeting options, and booking processes are established to achieve optimal monetization outcomes.

  • Maintain consistent workflows and communication to support publisher changes, including driving reporting and process improvements, facilitating cross-team communication, and ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.

  • Develop a deep understanding of publisher inventory and internal ad platform capabilities, enabling you to effectively support publisher and sales requests for new and existing capabilities.

  • Serve as an operations administrator, ensuring order management systems align with sales strategies.

  • Drive process improvements by providing input on system functionality and cross-functional processes that impact advertising delivery.

  • Execute sales strategies across all platforms and formats.

  • Offer guidance on troubleshooting and conflict resolution to internal partners.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in ad operations, business analysis, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Ad Manager and Order Management Systems.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a proven track record of collaborating effectively across teams; including Sales, Product, and Engineering.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Hands-on experience in Video and Display Ad Serving within a direct sales environment.

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
