Operations Manager - Logistics

The Operations Manager – Logistics will be responsible for maximising the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities; providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a large team to deliver on Key Performance Indicators.
• Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for all employees.
• Invest in the growth and development of team members, providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
• Take ownership of all health and safety, and environmental issues, ensuring compliance and promoting a proactive safety first culture.
• Maximise accuracy and productivity, continuously seeking ways to improve processes.
• Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs through effective operations.
• Ensure daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished i.e. staffing, equipment.
• Actively participate in key warehouse development projects, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Uphold and enforce all site operating procedures, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a shift management role is required.
• Process driven & results orientated.
• Strive to achieve set targets.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Possesses strong organisational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
• Strategic thinking.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to influence, coach, and partner at all levels of the organisation to achieve results.
• An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
• Comfortable operating in a complex and rapidly changing work environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High level of Numeracy.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
