Warehouse Control Tower (WCT) Operative

Responsibilities:
- Timely and efficient release of Outbound pick volume & targeted replenishment work to ensure optimal workflow and resource utilization within the Goods out operation.
- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify and eliminate problems preventing orders from being released on time (linked to inaccurate SKU attributes or other systemic inaccuracy).
- Coordinate with the Operation to ensure timely closure of all outbound freight carrier transactional requirements (transport units -TUs) and the updating of all relevant stakeholders, incl. Carriers, Customer and IMEX, to meet individual Carrier cut-off requirements (OTS).
- Take all necessary steps to produce and distribute reports linked to site workload, productivity, headcount and KPI reports to all relevant parties in a timely fashion.
- Monitor the conveyor performance (Scada) and notify Engineers on site of any problems which may impact on the performance on the operation / customer SLAs.
- Monitor and maintain tote release and conveyor zone capacity using Vision system.
- Liaise with warehouse supervisors and team leaders to maximize efficiency through appropriate allocation of people and resources during PM Operation.
- Deal with operator and carrier implant queries, where appropriate, to minimize down time.
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements to improve standards of performance.
- Liaise with Sales and Customer Services team by e-mail, phone and ASM tool to address customer queries.
- Clearly communicate with the internal stakeholders via radio and phone.
- Support with training new / less experienced team members on the use of SAP and WMS systems as well as other WCT functions.
- Assist with booking and maintaining delivery slots for Retail and Production customers.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Detailed understanding of Logistics processes.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, SAP and EWM in particular.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, incl. Outlook and Excel.
- Analytical thinking.
- Solid and proven problem-solving skills.
- Experience in logistics / operations.
- Knowledge of databases, Analysis for Business (AfB) is an advantage.
