Fabricator II

Arconic is currently in search of Fabricator II to join our Kawneer Team in Visalia.  We have a total of 4 positions, One on 1st shift (5am to 2:30pm) and three on 2nd Shift  (2:30pm to 11pm).  The base pay for this position is $23.59/hour and for 2nd shift there is a shift differential of 50 cents per hour.   2nd Shift will be on 1st shift for about 6 weeks for training (5am to 1:30pm).

The position is responsible for 1800 Shrink wrap with Glass top and perform JDE transactions.  Also, 1700 Package frames and components as required Perform JDE transactions.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
• Identifies material by part number and product finish.
• Install glass tops and protect Door/Frame with packaging. 
• Loads and unloads materials onto shrink wrap operations and machinery by hand.
• Reads and interprets take-off sheets, cut lists, and shop orders to verify location of hardware.
• Verifies all measurements for accuracy and quality.
• Cut and vinyl Glass top.
• Perform JDE transactions for packaging.
• Identify and retrieve all needed hardware from storage 
• Package the screws for hinges, etc and affix to door.
• Mark proper identification on all jobs.
• Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Performs quality inspections and reports errors.
• Complete checklists, reports, and logs as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment.
• Flexibility to other positions as required for business needs
• other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to six months related work experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, Takeoffs Templates 
• Hardware by others experience a plus.
• Ability to flex to other stations when required.  
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors. 
• Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
• Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
• Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.

Physical Demands

• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight.
• Able to work 12-hour days and Saturdays.
• Able to wear required PPE.
• Able to bend and twist repetitively.
