Marketing Analyst and Sales Support Specialist

Arconic Massena, NY (Onsite) Full-Time

Arconic is seeking a Marketing Analyst and Sales Support Specialist to join our team in Massena, NY. The ideal candidate will engage with all stakeholders, anticipate challenges, proactively bring solutions, and champion integrity. Our Massena operations serve the global industrial, aerospace and automotive markets with the most specialized engineering, highest quality, and the greatest breadth and depth of extruded and cold finished aluminum rod, bar and profiles. The primary objective of the Marketing Analyst and Sales Support Specialist is to support the marketing team with quoting reports, bookings reports, monthly and quarterly business reports, and forecasting support. The role analyses market trends, contract adherence, and reviews contract profitability. This role will also support the Arconic Massena team by providing pricing analysis and pricing for package quotes for product supplied from the Lafayette, Massena, and Pimalco locations.

Compensation:

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $80,000.

Essential Functions:

The Marketing Analyst and Sales Support Specialist position includes strong attention to detail and tactical execution, including but not limited to: 

  • Reporting and analyzing bookings, daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly.  Also responsible for maintaining a bookings database for reference and analysis. 
  • Publishing monthly commercial demand reports and presentations and maintaining the associated data. 
  • Managing the annual Massena customer survey process.  Working with the Marketing Manager and Account Managers to identify key customer contacts, plan and communicate the survey process, and report results. 
  • Supporting the Massena Commercial Team to drive profitable growth through product strategy, competitive intelligence, growth strategy, forecast support, quote follow up, contract adherence, profitability analysis, and customer education.
  • Publishing a weekly market report that effectively communicates the key commercial activities throughout our organization in our key markets.
  • Developing commercial understanding of key customers and markets to enable insightful and sustainable analysis of marketplace changes for use within the business.
  • Creating slides and background data to support commercial or market requests from Massena Leadership on an as-needed basis.
  • Proactively investigating areas of concern and root cause for commercial issues in bookings, profitability, contract reviews, and other commercial data as required.
  • Building personal relationships with IT, Finance, BU Management, Market Managers, Inside/Outside Sales, and others as needed to accomplish tasks.
  • Processing package quotes on an as needed basis for the Massena team.
  • Providing pricing analysis to optimize profitability of all completed package quotes.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with sales and data analysis skills with the ability to automate and simplify current processes.
  • Experience with MS Excel.
  • Able to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with MS Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and advanced functions.
  • Experience working with Visual Basic, MS Access, Salesforce, and SQL.
