HVAC Technician
Arconic is currently in search of HVAC Technician to join our Arconic Technology Center in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for: Inspect, fabricate, install, repair, modify, calibrate, adjust, test, perform preventative maintenance on, and service Industrial/Commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment systems and related mechanical equipment up to 480VAC.
Primary Responsibilities-
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Industrial/Commercial HVAC systems up to 480VAC, including water- and air-cooled chillers up to 900 tons, as well as natural gas heaters.
- Dismantles, moves, fabricates, redesigns (with proper authorization), assembles, and installs HVAC systems up to 480VAC.
- Performs predictive and preventative maintenance as well as diagnoses HVAC systems and related equipment and components to determine root cause of failures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial pneumatic control systems.
- Checks, installs, adjusts, and calibrates HVAC systems and components.
- Test HVAC systems and equipment using electrical, electronic, and mechanical testing and sensing equipment.
- Performs soldering, brazing, welding, and burning functions for HVAC installations and repairs.
- Layout, plan, and install HVAC equipment and circuits from instructions, prints, diagrams, and electrical codes to conform to specifications.
- Select and carry out scheduled work orders based on equipment need, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers concerning project or equipment status and technical issues.
- Use information systems and processes to obtain information procedures and data in the performance of duties.
- Understand, troubleshoot, and recommend/make adjustments to Building Automation System (BAS).
- Actively engage in principles and utilizes tools in Arconic Business Systems (ABS), Reliability Excellence (REX), Human Performance (HP), initiative to pursue ownership in the business and facilitates positive communication.
- Requires being on-call for evening and weekend support when maintenance issues arise.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited HVAC Certification Program
- EPA Universal Certification
- Minimum 3 years HVAC experience in an industrial or heavy commercial environment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
