1. Makes own set-ups, maintains set-up and operates presses such as punch, draw, forming, ferrules, serration, stock straighteners, blankers, etc.

2. Makes adjustments to all equipment as required. Sets feed, speeds, stroke, tooling, etc.

3. Performs own visual and dimensional inspection, uses standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, plug gauges, go and no go, etc.

4. Positions and changes incoming and outgoing materials.

5. May be required to record counts, production, maintain charts, job cards, labor tickets, identification tickets.

6. Maintains oil and coolant levels as required.

7. Advises supervision of need of maintenance on equipment.

8. May perform other related duties.

9. Must apply all environmental and safety procedures as outlined in work instructions.

SKILL SUMMARY: Requires the ability to use shop math, standard measuring instruments and read blueprints and routings. Must have working knowledge of punch and draw area and mechanical abilities. Makes decisions based on established procedures. Must be able to read and understand all work instructions including those pertaining to safety and environmental impacts. Some overtime is required.

DEMANDS SUMMARY: Requires frequent handling of medium to heavy materials, frequent walking, frequent stepping up and down, continuous standing and constant visual and mental attention. Overtime is required.
