Product engineer

Federal mogul/ Tenneco is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in improving, developing, and coordinating our production processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Your expertise will contribute to maximizing productivity, optimizing equipment utilization, and implementing LEAN production principles. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate production processes on a daily basis to achieve high-quality product output in close collaboration with the team on site, you will report to Production manager and have 3 colleagues in the same role.
  • Develop process improvements to enhance equipment and material utilization, ultimately maximizing productivity.
  • Utilize LEAN production tools to continuously develop the production flow and working methods.
  • Identify and report unsafe operations and practices to the Manager promptly.
  • Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Perform engineering analysis to minimize downtime and outages.
  • Evaluate current production activities and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members and operators to achieve production goals.

To be successful you will:

  • Stay and be up to date with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes.
  • Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability, and share and benchmark them within the company.
  • Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Act as a project manager within investment and productivity projects as required.
  • Construct fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
  • Support in development of safety instructions and perform risk analysis.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education with relevant experience.

Direct experience in Manufacturing/Production Engineering.

Experience within metal cutting and grinding processes.

Proficient in both written and spoken Swedish and English.

Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software.

Understanding of process development and productivity improvement.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Positive attitude with a proactive mindset.

Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Valid driver's license.
