Sales Team Supervisor

TD SYNNEX San José, San José Province (Onsite) Full-Time

A sales supervisor at TD SYNNEX - Shyft Global Services plays a crucial role in driving the performance of the sales team by managing assigned territories and overseeing daily activities to ensure all goals are met or exceeded. They set and monitor individual team members' objectives, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity. Additionally, the supervisor collaborates with management to develop business plans aimed at identifying new opportunities and boosting sales and profits within their territories. Engaging in both inbound and outbound sales calls, they quote prices, offer product information, and foster strong customer relationships, ultimately contributing to the team's success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

  • Creates and implements customer specific business plans to uncover new opportunities, increase sales and profits and secure territory growth.

  • Communicates constantly with teams to inform them of daily tracking of sales, and important customer and product information.

  • Prepares forecasts for monthly and quarterly performance by customer.

  • Assigns duties to associate team members to ensure coverage and completion of all relevant tasks.

  • Keeps updated profiles on all accounts to anticipate where we can fulfill a need in their respective business plans.

  • Participates in vendor-sponsored and Corporate-sponsored training/meetings to attain new and existing product, industry and company knowledge in order to provide better service to customers.

  • Establishes consistent and frequent competitive intelligence reports from customers to Sales Manager Human Capital Management and Leadership Hiring, coaching, developing and motivating sales team members.

  • Maintains records, performance information and documentation.

  • Responsible for team reward and recognition programs to include nomination and monitoring of division and corporate programs.

  • Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.

  • Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.

  • Able to prepare/analyze appropriate reports and other business correspondence.

  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED plus the established minimum requirements for the position.

  • 2-3 years supervisory experience.

  • Experience in the Sales or IT industry is a plus.
