Senior System Administrator / Systems Administrator IV



Purpose:



We're looking for highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join an established and expanding IT organization that is vital to the growth of our company
The Senior System Administrator will be responsible all infrastructure systems at Maxim including 3rd party and cloud platforms, such as O365 and all Azure hosted services and systems
Position will have experience administering, automating, and implementing cloud-first, low-touch environments to support our growing infrastructure services
Under general direction of the IT Manager, the senior system administrator will provide technical support, design, install, configure, maintain, and perform system integration to our organization
Execute key projects to advance end user adoption and capabilities of services such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Azure, Security, and other projects as needed
Troubleshoots and resolves user issues as needed




Key Duties/Responsibilities:


• Provide high-level support and technical expertise to IT infrastructure managed systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices

• Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 tech stack, with emphasis on Exchange Online, AzureAD, AzureSSO, Teams, Sharepoint Online, Intune, and end-point configuration
• Design and implement IT automation – broker automation between ITSM platform and critical business systems, including AD, ERP, HRIS plus more

• Implement and manage AD and GPO to optimize and effectively manage all server and computer objects, both on premise and in Azure

• Server management – Install, maintain, patch, and upgrade infrastructure managed systems as needed

• Work with third parties to ensure system functionality, supportability, and SLA compliance

• Define and document best practices and support procedures for internal systems
• Troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, determining the best solution based on the issue at hand




Minimum Requirements:

Education:


• IT Degree (associates/bachelors/certificate) or High School diploma (or GED) and at least 5 years of relevant technical experience


Experience:


• 6+ years experience as a system administrator



Required Skills/Knowledge:




• Advanced knowledge of entire Microsoft Stack – On-Premise and Cloud
• IT Automation – Graph, PS, Machine Learning, Self-Service
• Strong understanding of SAML, SSO, and Identity Management
• Strong understanding of ITIL framework
• Support experience across other systems including, Linux, Citrix, VMWare, NetApp
• Strong understanding of current technology trends to take advantage of cloud offerings

• Expert Proficiency with Windows Server 12/16/19/22 and Window 10/11
• Advanced project management skills – Ability to articulate and meet deadlines
• Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to mentor others in this role
• Advanced written and oral communication skills, necessary to produce impactful content and coordinate across many different levels of leadership and IT-knowledge aptitudes

• Advanced level troubleshooting skills across Systems, Database, Networking
