Summary:
The Financial Analyst – Fleet Management will analyze business and financial data to prepare capital spending plans, perform return on investment and life cycle cost of ownership of assets analyses, and provide timely and concise recommendations to improve asset buying decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Use historical data to develop total cost of ownership models for rental and support fleet.
• Develop economic useful life analysis to aid in capital purchasing and fleet management decisions.
• Analyze crane usage by vertical market and geography to aid in fleet deployment decisions.
• Develop case studies and perform ad-hoc financial analyses on various aspects of the business.
• Participate in the annual long range forecast process which includes developing fleet plans and statements of financial performance on a 5 year forward looking basis.
Core Competencies
• Ability to sort/mine large sets of data from multiple data sources (General ledger, CRM, Excel) to identify trends/variances.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years’ professional experience in financial analyst or similar role.
• Experience in construction, equipment rentals, or related industry preferred.
